Jessie Chung Puts On Hold Works To Present Father’s Funeral in Kuching

Jessie Chung’s father, Chung Fook Xiang, has passed away at a blessed age of 78

years at his house in Kuching. Jessie, whom earlier was launching her new album in

Taiwan, had to put all her works on hold, including her new album’s press

conference due to be held next week in Kuching, to be present at her father’s

funeral.

The late Chung Fook Xiang is a well-known man of stature in Kuching, who has

dominated the electronics and appliances industry in East Malaysia for over 50

years.

When mentioned about her father, Jessie expressed profoundly that he is a good

father and highly respected by his peers. The year when Jessie had responded to

her true identity as a female and was in the midst of emigrating, her father

willfully stated that he will brave it through with her and she was deeply moved.

Therefore, one of the songs in the album is especially written for her father.

Many of Jessie’s shows nationwide in June and also her own concert in August have

been rescheduled to another date yet to be announced. Also, many press conferences

of her album’s launch put together by her record company have been postponed.
