Jessie Chung Performs in Sexy Dress at Ximending, Taiwan

Ximending Taipei, 12 November, 2016: Jessie Chung’s brand new album There You Are has recently gone gold in Taiwan, leading to a series of promotional events to reach toward a wider audience. Not only did she get her album endorsed at the album release press conference on October 24th, Jessie Chung also performed at the Taiwan Ximending Launching Show on October 30th, donning a sexy, ebony, see-through dress embroidered with gold. With her full-flowing, lush, golden hair, no wonder the press hailed her as a “Bond girl” look-alike.

Performing four songs at her launching show in Taiwan, she sincerely opened with “There You Are”, a touching ballad, and subsequently drove the crowd wild with “Drive My Heart”, an explosive rock anthem. Her showing off of her new dance moves and the fantastic interaction between her and her male dancers induced the screams and shouts of the Taiwanese fans below the stage.

Her husband Joshua stayed below the stage to accompany her and take pictures of her, causing her much embarrassment when her team of dancers picked her up on stage, but she kept her composure as she beamed a shy smile. Jessie Chung spent more than a year in Australia to prepare for this album; under the plans devised by her Australian record company, she took on the so-called “Bond girl” style, despite her initial fears of the radical change. Changing her hairstyle from blunt bangs to side-swept fringe caused her significant insecurity, and she’s still getting used to it.

Jessie Chung reveals that “There You Are” is dedicated to the two most important men in her life, the memory of her father, and her husband Joshua. She recalls that her father passed away while she was promoting her previous album. Not being able to see her father at his deathbed, Jessie Chung wanted to use this song to thank him. The song is also dedicated to her husband for being besides her at all times. “Spend enough time to appreciate the people around us, that will save us a lot of regret when the final goodbye comes,” she says emotionally when asked about the past.

Besides performing her new songs, Jessie Chung also had great interaction with her fans, giving away James Bond-esque aviator sunglasses and heaps of exclusive heart shaped pillows to give her fans a great experience. While signing autographs, many enthusiastic fans gave Jessie and her team their praises, they were all satisfied by the electrifying event. She states that her first time in Taiwan was an unforgettable experience, and she looks forward to party again with her fans next time. Jessie Chung also reveals that her tight schedule in Taiwan has prevented her from tasting Taiwanese delicacies. She plans to wander through the night market with her husband upon completing the launching show and have an authentic taste of Taiwanese cuisine.

After changing her gender identity, Jessie Chung has received a fair amount of cyber-bullying. Even till this day, ignorant netizens still attempt to verbally abuse her, such as questioning her singing talents. Regarding these criticisms, Jessie has shrugged them off and said, “The fact that whether or not I sing well is decided by my fans; as long as my fans like it, that’s enough for me; as long as they like it, that makes me happy and content.”  Jessie Chung states, “Although I feel hurt, these harsh criticisms only make me stronger and allow me to stand up and prove my motivation.” She’s very optimistic, and believes that words of encouragement and constructive criticisms alike are all helpful to her, as long as the words are spoken with sincerity.

Jessie Chung Meets Fans at Straits Quay Penang Hand Turns Numb from Signing Autographs

Penang, 21 October 2016: Jessie Chung reaches Penang Island to perform at her launching show, while long lines of fans had Jessie signing autographs for nearly two hours! She revealed that this was the first time an autograph session gave her a numb hand!

Immediately after completing the last Moonlight stage play at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC), Jessie Chung showed up at Penang once again. This time, she wasn’t acting on stage at the Performing Arts Centre of Penang (penangpac) but rather she was performing on stage at an explosive launching show!

As the launching show started, Jessie Chung opened with her single “Someplace Honest”. Next, she performed “There You Are”, her album’s lead single, while thanking God for bestowing upon her life and allowing her to live healthily to this day. At the same time, she also exhorts her fans to look after their own health by drinking enough fluids and getting enough sleep and adequate exercise. She also took the opportunity to wish all “Penangers” good health. On the psychological side of health, she encouraged everyone to keep their heads up high at all times and never give up, because every person is unique. Upon saying these words, the beat to the song “Drive My Heart” began to blast through the amps, sending searing waves of excitement through the crowd!

All three new singles were performed, but fans were still shouting encore, and three songs didn’t seem to satisfy them. After a bit of commotion, Jessie Chung returned to the stage once again to perform her song “Moonlight”, which is also the theme song of her stage play of the same name. She expresses that time has gone by so quickly in the recent months; ten shows of the stage play have been completed in a flash. She passionately recited the lines “I want the moon, I don’t want spiders.” As she recalled the tragedy of the plotline, she had to hold back the tears in her eyes, causing her to pause sporadically throughout the song.

At the end of the show, Jessie threw many tiny love-shaped pillows into the crowd, while her fans frantically fumbled for them. Luckily security officers and other personnel came to the scene to form a wall between the stage and the crowd to maintain order, preventing injuries from occurring again. Finally, Jessie sang her hit song Starry Sky, an upbeat dance track, to wrap up her Penang launching show.

The launching show was sponsored by Natural Health Farm, St Tiew Dental Group, and Pollywood Pte; the site was sponsored by Straits Quay, and the show was organized by Future Entertainment & Music Group. The organizer prepared a raffle to giveaway prizes valuing in 10,000 RM in total, allowing all the participants to bring home a variety of gifts. Since so many fans desired to meet and take pictures with Jessie, the autograph and photograph session took approximately two hours to complete. Although her hand had turned numb from signing autographs, amiable Jessie had no complaints as she takes delight in making all of her fans’ days.

“Music Box” Stage Play World Tour Jessie Chung Shares Stage with Ex Fiancé

SPAC, 19 October 2016: After touring the country with ten performances of the “Moonlight” stage play, Australia’s Future Entertainment & Music Group has decided to release a new stage play, “Music Box”, giving Jessie Chung the opportunity to play a blonde-haired lady!  Press conference have been conducted at 19 Oct 2016 at Shah Alam Performing Arts Center (SPAC).

A streak of ten Exquisite Chinese Orchestra Concerts and the tenth Moonlight stage play performance presented by the Malaysia Naturopathic Association finally ended yesterday, the two shows have garnered strong support and interest from the public throughout 2016. From this year’s March to October, all twenty shows brought in a total of RM300,000 for the Jessie Chung Cancer Fund.

Director Brian Choot stated that “Music Box” will be based on a true story, and hopes that it will enlighten the audience with fresh inspirations and reflections. “Music Box” will also feature Jessie’s new song, There You Are, as its theme song.

Besides Jessie Chung, the cast also includes Moonlight’s male leads Marcus Choot and Tylor Chen. In addition, NHF’s CEO Vernon Tee will also join the cast with a long hairstyle to fully support this charity event. Jessie revealed that one of the three male leads is her ex fiancé. “Music Box” brings out three separate stories, based on Jessie’s experiences with her ex fiancé, her husband Joshua Beh, and her father. Since the plot line is quite similar to Jessie’s love story, many expect that the actors would be able to immerse themselves within the story.

When asked about her husband’s feelings and whether he would be green with envy or not, Jessie stated that although her husband and her ex fiancé were enemies more than a decade ago, they’ve actually turned into good friends afterwards; from an exchange of blows friendship grows, after all. This time, Jessie will share the stage with her ex fiancé, and all eyes will be watching to see what this special combination will spark.

Right after signing a record deal with Future Entertainment & Music Group in Australia, the company began to organize a series of launching shows to promote her new album “There You Are”. The launching shows at Kuching Boulevard and Sunway Pyramid have been competed, and upcoming launching shows include locations such as Penang Straits Quay (October 21st, 2016), Taiwan Ximending (October 31st, 2016), Kota Kinabalu, Miri, Sibu, Bintulu, Ipoh, Seremban, Kluang, Johor Bahru, Kedah, and Gold Coast Australia.

Besides holding launching shows nationwide and around the world, Jessie Chung will also return to Australia in November to film her sixth MV. As of this time, her Australian label is wrapping up the production of her next album, and the MV Jessie will be filming is the final MV of her next album.

Jessie calls her MV director a wild adventurer, always requesting her to film scenes that involve dangerous situations, such as standing on the edge of a cliff, playing “Need for Speed” in real life, and getting soaked in freezing rain, etc. Jessie’s lucky if she comes out of a filming session with only a cut or a bruise. The MC at the press conference even jokingly likened her MV shoots to action movie stunts, it must have been difficult for her to endure all these hardships along the way.

As for her next MV, Jessie Chung has also expressed her fears and concern, because the director plans to bring her to a European, Age of Discovery-type sailboat to capture scenes, and he also intends for Jessie to sing on the top of the mast. However, her Australian label manager has been quite upset after hearing Jessie getting hurt multiple times for the stunts in her MV, so the final decision is still uncertain.

Since Jessie’s schedule for this year is already full, “Music Box” will begin on the last day of this year, December 31st at the Shah Alam Performing Arts Centre. The second show will be few days fresh into 2017, on January 5th at the same location. Afterwards, “Music Box” will be taken to KL PAC (February 25th & 26th, 2017), Penang PAC (March 4th & 5th, 2017), Kuching (April 2nd, 2017) and later on to Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Dongguan, Shanxi, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Sydney, Gold Coast, Melbourne, New York, Hawaii, London, and Japan.
